Nestled near the charming town of Potsdam, NY, not far from Lake Placid, Saranac Lake, and other gorgeous hiking locations, lies a hidden gem in the heart of the Adirondacks – a multi-cabin property on the shores of Lake Ozonia in the Adirondacks.  The architecture seamlessly blends with the natural surroundings.  The use of drone photography allowed me as one of the few local licensed nearby drone photographers to capture sweeping views of the cabins, emphasizing their unique design and placement within the forested landscape.  The property boasts multiple cabins, each with its own distinct character and charm.  The new owner once it is sold will have many options when it comes to renting as an AirBnB or on VRBO, or to maintain as a gathering place for family.

The interiors of the cabins continued the theme of high-end Adirondack rustic charm.  One of my favorite features were the double doors that opened onto the porch, with an adorable totem pole next to the main entrance.

The current owner is a professional chef, and his experience showed in the beautiful, well-designed, and well-stocked kitchen.

One of the standout features of this lakeside retreat is the ingenious design that allows the main cabin to overhang the lake. This is not allowed for new cabin builds but this was one of the few properties that was grandfathered in before the current restrictions were put in place.  This enhances the visual appeal but also provides occupants with unparalleled views of Lake Ozonia.  As I was photographing the property I greatly enjoyed the unique views of the lake that this provided.

Nestled along the shoreline is a picturesque boathouse that adds a touch of charm to the property. Its rustic allure is a testament to the careful consideration given to preserving the authentic Adirondack experience.

Far removed from the hustle and bustle, this multi-cabin property offers a serene escape into nature’s embrace. Tucked back in the woods on the shores of a quiet lake, it provides an ideal setting for visitors and other photographers like me seeking solitude and inspiration. The isolation contributes to the authenticity of the Adirondack experience.
