I really enjoyed spending the day with Christina, Alex, and their families.  They are all wonderful people, and the day was relaxed and full of fun.  Christina, her golden retreiver and the ladies all got ready in Suite 1 at the hotel.  Christina and her mom have a very close relationship, and I could see the joy mixed in with a few tears on both of their faces.  Christina showed me a great picture from college of her and Alex in a water balloon fight, and her mom said that was when she knew Alex was the one for Christina.  Their love of fun and adventure will definitely continue throughout their marriage.

We headed down to the Seaway for the ceremony and formal pictures afterwards.  The ceremony was especially meaningful as Christina’s dad, a pastor, performed it.  It was a beautiful day and everyone seemed so happy to be there sharing the love with Christina and Alex.

Then it was time for the party!  Christina and Alex began the night with toasts, dinner, and a highly athletic cake smash.  Then they moved into dancing.  One of my favorite things during the dancing was seeing both Christina and Alex’s parents tearing up and sharing the joy with them.  I love seeing such close families who are all coming together to be part of a new family.

Alex surprised Christina with a snow machine during their first dance.

We ended up with a gorgeous sunset and beautiful light for some romantic images.  Christina and Alex also decided to go in the Seaway.  Christina had planned to go in the water at her wedding and had bought a wedding dress specifically for this (and for her later dive into the pool).
