When you’re wondering where to get married in the Adirondacks, there are many lovely places to choose from. One of my personal favorites is Chapel Island on Upper Saranac Lake. It is one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the upper Adirondacks, and is near enough to Lake Placid to have a reception there. You and your wedding guests park nearby and the owners of Island Chapel ferry you out to the church by boat. As you can see, it is a great rustic chapel with windows looking out onto the lake.
Dan and April’s wedding there was lovely, and then we headed over to Craig Wood Golf course in Lake Placid for the reception. One of the best places in Lake Placid for wedding pictures is off Loge Road, where you can see the Adirondack mountains in the distance.
