A Look Back at My Favorite Real Estate Photography from Spring and Summer
Spring and summer are always the busiest seasons for real estate photography, and this year has been no exception. Since April, I’ve had the opportunity to photograph a wide variety of beautiful homes throughout Northern New York, each with its own unique character and features. From thoughtfully composed interior images to commercial drone photography that showcases a property’s location and setting, my goal is always to create images that help homes stand out and give buyers a true sense of what makes each property special.
Farm Photography Watertown NY
Professional farm photography tells the story behind the products and the people who grow them. As part of a project with Cornell Cooperative Extension, I photographed Cold Hardy Berries, a specialty farm producing honeyberries and figs. The session included aerial drone photography of the farm, environmental portraits of the owner, images of the growing process, and product photography featuring fresh fruit, homemade jams, and nursery plants. Together, these images provide a complete visual story that can be used for marketing, websites, social media, and educational outreach.
Commercial Product Photography for One Steep at a Time
Great product photography highlights more than just a product—it captures the quality, craftsmanship, and personality behind a brand. I recently photographed One Steep at a Time, a specialty tea company owned by Patti and Sharon, as part of a marketing initiative through Cornell Cooperative Extension. The session featured their vibrant loose-leaf and iced teas, showcasing the rich colors, natural ingredients, and handcrafted products that make their business unique.
Luxury Waterfront Real Estate Photography
Luxury waterfront homes deserve photography that captures both their architectural details and their setting. This stunning St. Lawrence Seaway home in Ogdensburg featured breathtaking waterfront views, a dramatic floor-to-ceiling window overlooking the river, beautiful stonework, a chef’s kitchen, and professionally landscaped grounds leading to a private dock. Drone photography completed the story by showcasing the property’s unique location along the Seaway, where ships pass by just beyond the shoreline.
Commercial Real Estate Photography: St. Lawrence University Renovations
I recently photographed the newly renovated Whitman Hall at St. Lawrence University after renovations by Northern Tier Contracting. The project featured bright, naturally lit interiors, clean architectural lines, and unique patterned LED ceiling lighting that created striking visual interest throughout the space. Commercial photography like this showcases the craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and finished quality of renovation projects for contractors, architects, and institutions.
