Bobbie and Frank’s wedding was a classic North Country barn wedding at their family’s working dairy farm in Gouverneur. I enjoyed being their photographer and getting some great photographs. I had photographed Bobbie’s sister Melissa’s wedding several years before, also at the family farm, so had met all of her family before. She is the last of the three sisters to be married, so I’m a bit sad that I won’t be out at the farm again for any more weddings (although there’s always baby pictures!). It was just a fun, casual time, with great family and friends there to support them and celebrate with them. The food, provided by Fobare’s BBQ, was fantastic. You really can’t go wrong with barbecue. . .well, I guess you can, but not when Billy Fobare is on the scene.
Frank and Bobbie are the kind of couple who are just so comfortable with each other and happy to be together, that it seemed like the wedding ceremony was simply marking a love and relationship that was already set, solid, and ready to last forever.
I loved the special touches of the greenery decorations (Bobbie used to be a florist), and of course the hay bale pyramid. Having a gorgeous sunset to top off the day didn’t hurt either.
