I’m glad Tyler and Myra chose me from the many wedding photographers near Canton and Potsdam, Clayton, Lake Placid, and other wedding photographers in the North Country and upstate Northern NY.
We started with the getting ready photographs at the Best Western University Inn in Canton, NY. The Best Western is very near me in Canton. . . I could walk there if I didn’t have too much equipment for 2 wedding photographers to carry 🙂
Myra and her dad decided to do a “father-daughter” first look. Seeing her big tough ex-military dad so touched by seeing his daughter ready to be married was one of the highlights of the day. You can tell they have a great relationship.
Another touching moment is when Myra visited her grandmother’s nursing home before the ceremony. Due to COVID, she couldn’t go inside, but her grandmother got to see her through the window.
Then we traveled to the Cutway family camp on the Oswegatchie. Especially now during COVID, their camp was one of the best places to get married in the North Country. The beautiful river views and shady trees were a wonderful backdrop to the ceremony. Tyler got a bit teary-eyed as Myra walked down the aisle to him.
The Northern NY river made a great backdrop for pictures as the sun drifted toward setting.
Then we moved into the tent for the dancing!
The wedding ended with a lovely bonfire with Tyler and Myra surrounded by their close friends and family. A wonderful end to a beautiful day, and a wonderful beginning for their lives together.
